(#04127) Oswego, New York -- On Tuesday August 10, EPA Administrator Mike
Leavitt will join Mayor John J. Gosek of Oswego on a boat tour of the port
and Lake Ontario from Wright's Landing, Oswego, NY at 4:00 PM to discuss
implementation of the new Great Lakes Executive Order. The media will ride
on the vessel with the Administrator and the Mayor. There will be an
opportunity for the media to ask questions mid tour, as well as during a
brief question and answer session directly following the tour. The
Administrator is meeting with elected officials and stakeholders throughout
the Great Lakes states this summer, encouraging their partnership and input
in the formulation of the Great Lakes Task Force to address the challenges
in the Great Lakes Basin.
