(#04128) Rochester, New York -- On Wednesday, August 11,  EPA Administrator
Mike
Leavitt will join Congresswoman Louise Slaughter and County Exective Maggie
Brooks
at  Port Charlotte, NY (port of Rochester) and board EPA's research vessel,
"The Lake
Guardian" for a brief tour on Lake Ontario, where he will participate in
water testing and
discuss implementation of the new Great Lakes Executive Order.

The Administrator is holding meetings with area elected officials and
stakeholders
throughout the Great Lakes states this summer, encouraging their partnership
and input
in the formulation of the Great Lakes Task Force to address the challenges
in the Great
Lakes Basin.
