The Midwest Center for
Environmental Science and Public Policy is a non-profit organization
working to improve and protect the environment and human health in
and beyond the Great Lakes region. The Center works independently
and through partnerships primarily with academia to solve complex
environmental problems. The Midwest Center is committed to achieving
sustainable improvements in human health and the environment through
objective, unbiased research and education, and through
science-based advocacy.

Lake Erie Coastweeks

Ohio's Coastweeks is part of a nationwide effort to
educate the public about protecting coastlines around the country.
Nearly 50 events are scheduled along Lake Erie throughout the month,
including beach walks and cleanups, nature programs, photo contests,
and shoreline conferences.
