Fishery Research and Sea Lamprey Research programs of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission
Great Lakes Fishery Commission Research Programs
Pre-proposal Deadline: December 15, 2004 for both commission programs. Pre-proposals received after these deadlines will not be considered. Complete program funding schedule available at http://www.glfc.org/research.asp
Funding: Pre-proposals for the 2005 funding cycle for the Fishery Research and Sea Lamprey Research programs of the Great Lakes Fishery Commission are now being solicited. New Fishery and Sea Lamprey Research programs’ projects begin in January 2006. Awards will be up to $100,000 per year. Total amount of funding available for the Fishery Research Program and the Sea Lamprey Research Program projects is $400,000 each.
Fishery Research ProgramProjects should address one or more of the following: the priorities identified by the commission’s strategic vision, lake committees, the Great Lakes Fish Health Committee, and the Council of Lake Committees; projects of new investigators; and the program's research themes (as follows):
· Exotic Invertebrates and Food-Web Disruption · Restoration of Native Great Lakes Fishes · Council of Lake Committees Research · Fish Health Committee Research
Sea Lamprey Research ProgramProjects should address one or more of the following: the priorities identified by the commission’s strategic vision, projects of new investigators, and the program’s research themes (as follows):
· Sea Lamprey Pheromone/Trapping · Sea Lamprey Sterile Male Release Technique · Lampricide Control (under preparation) · Non-theme Area Research

Great Lakes Restoration Act (USFWS)
NOTICE: The RFP for the Restoration Act is not yet available and will be released in a separate communication. When available, information regarding the Restoration Act RFP will be posted on the commission’s web site.
