MiCorps: Michigan Clean Water Corps

GLIN Site of the MonthMiCorps was created through an executive order by Gov. Jennifer Granholm to assist the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality in collecting and sharing water quality data for use in water resources management and protection programs. Any Michigan volunteer monitoring organization can register with MiCorps for inclusion in the online directory of Michigan volunteer monitoring programs.

Mother Earth Water Walk

A group of Anishinaabe-kwewag and supports are walking (with a bucket of water in hand) around the five Great Lakes. Their walk around Lake Huron will be completed in June 2005.

Great Lakes Boating Federation

The Great Lakes Boating Federation was created in 2004 to ensure that recreational boaters are being heard when decisions affecting the future of the Great Lakes are being made.
