Gathering Waters Conservancy

GLIN Site of the Month Formed over 10 years ago, Gathering Waters Conservancy assists land trusts, landowners and communities in their efforts to protect Wisconsin's natural heritage and rural landscape. Gathering Waters organizes the Lake Michigan Shorelands Alliance, a group of nine land trusts in Wisconsin's Lake Michigan basin. Collectively, this group has developed a regional conservation plan that identifies the highest priority conservation sites in the watershed. Gathering Waters Conservancy's web site provides key information on land conservation in Wisconsin.

Regional Science Consortium Research Symposium

The Regional Science Consortium, which coordinates educational and research projects for Lake Erie and the upper Ohio River basin, is holding its first annual Research Symposium at Presque Isle on Oct. 6.

Hwy H2O

The Great Lakes St. Lawrence Seaway system of rivers, lakes, canals, locks and ports has been unified under a new identity: Hwy H2O. Hwy H2O begins with Atlantic Ocean access at the Port of Quebec and encompasses the entire system to its most westerly point in the mid-continent, the Port of Duluth.
