American Shore and Beach Preservation Association

The ASBPA was founded in 1926 by individuals who recognized the need for an organized effort to combat erosion, a serious problem in many coastal areas, including the Great Lakes. In 2003 the ASBPA merged with the American Coastal Coalition.

Georgian Bay Virtual Eco Museum

With the Niagara Escarpment designation as a biosphere reserve in 1990 and the 30,000 Islands' designation as a littoral biosphere reserve in 2004, Georgian Bay has achieved a unique status. While respecting this ecological integrity, the eco museum seeks to broaden awareness of the Georgian Bay region and its many attributes.
