will feature topics included in the Lake
Erie Protection & Restoration Plan with select panel members
leading the discussion on achievements and challenges. The Lake Erie Protection & Restoration Plan
was unveiled by Governor Taft in the fall of 2000. The purpose of the plan is
to recommend the implementation of specific strategic actions that could help
improve the environment, recreation, and economy of the Lake Erie region in Luncheon includes presentation of the 2006 Lake Erie Awards
and special officials’ awards. Everyone will gather together to hear an update from project
leaders regarding the Lake Erie Balanced Growth pilot projects. Three pilot
projects were selected in September 2005 for the purpose of promoting
voluntary, orderly growth and conservation at the local level as a means of
protecting water quality and other resources in the Registration information will be coming
soon! In conjunction with this conference, the Ohio Lake Erie
Commission will hold its quarterly meeting the afternoon before the conference
on Wednesday, September 6, at 2:00 p.m. at
