The Great
Lakes-St. Lawrence River Basin Water Resources
Regional Body would like to announce that its next meeting will be held on
Thursday, August 17, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. EDT. The
meeting will be via conference call.
It will be open to the public and will include an opportunity for public
comments. A draft agenda and call-in information for the meeting can be

The Regional Body was established by the
Great Lakes Governors and Premiers when they signed the Great
Lakes—St. Lawrence River Basin Sustainable Water Resources
Agreement on December 13, 2005. The Agreement details how the States and
Provinces will work together to manage and protect the Great
Lakes—St. Lawrence River Basin and provides a framework for
each State and Province to enact laws protecting the Basin. Further information on the Agreement and
