The Lake Huron Binational Partnership and the Aquatic Ecosystem Health
and Management Society (AEHMS) are co-hosting a binational symposium on
the State of Lake Huron on Oct 11-13, 2006 at the Delawana Inn in Honey
Harbour, Ontario.  This will be a technical conference for Lake Huron
researchers and will result in a peer-review publication of the papers
presented over the three day symposium. For more information please see:

The symposium will also feature an evening session on Oct 12 to bring
together representatives from municipal, provincial and federal
governments as well as non-government organizations, to highlight select
case studies on local management  and planning initiatives and provide a
discussion forum on linking science to policy, management, and land use
planning decisions.
