Subject: Limited Rooms available for the State of Lake Huron Symposium,
Oct 11-13, 2006

The State of Lake Huron conference is fast approaching. If you have not
made arrangements for your accommodation, please note that the rooms in
the Delawana Inn are no longer being held and are available on a first
come first serve basis. For lodging and registration information please
see:

The Lake Huron Binational Partnership and the Aquatic Ecosystem Health
and Management Society (AEHMS) are co-hosting a binational symposium on
the State of Lake Huron on Oct 11-13, 2006 at the Delawana Inn in Honey
Harbour, Ontario. This will be a technical conference for Lake Huron
researchers and will result in a peer-review publication of the papers
presented over the three day symposium.

The symposium will also feature an evening session on Oct 12 to bring
together representatives from municipal, provincial and federal
governments as well as non-government organizations, to highlight select
case studies on local management and planning initiatives and provide a
discussion forum on linking science to policy, management, and land use
planning decisions.

Those interested in attending evening session should contact Greg Mayne,
Environment Canada (greg.mayne@ec.gc.ca).
