Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences
The St. Lawrence River Institute
of Environmental Sciences was established in Cornwall, Ontario, in
1994. Since then, it has become a renowned environmental research
and science education center with a focus on freshwater ecosystems.
Through its research, education and community activities, the River
Institute is providing a unique community service - reaching out to
everyone in its mandate to provide leadership and knowledge on
Great Lakes Inventory and Monitoring
GLKN is dedicated to helping nine national park
units inventory and monitor significant natural resources. The nine
units extend from the boreal forests of northern Minnesota to the
sand dunes of southern Lake Michigan, representing the major
freshwater ecosystems of the Upper Midwest.
Lake Superior Conservancy and Watershed
LSCWC is an international non-profit organization
dedicated to the preservation, protection and restoration of the
waters and watershed of the Lake Superior basin through
communication, education, scientific study, land conservancy and
Inland Seas Education Association
Through its popular Great
Lakes Schoolship program, ISEA helps people of all ages experience
the science and spirit of the Great Lakes through shipboard and
onshore experiential educational programs.
The Wildlands League combines
credible science, visionary solutions and bold communication to
save, protect and enhance Ontario's wilderness areas. The League's
vision is Ontario with an unspoiled legacy of wilderness areas and
all the precious values they hold.
