Dear Lake Erie Watershed Residents & Professionals,

You’re invited to attend a half day, technical training session on Best Local Land Use Practices. A part of the Ohio Lake Erie Commission’s Balanced Growth Program, training will be provided on practices such as: storm water management/phase II, erosion/sediment control ordinances, riparian/wetlands setback ordinances, meadow protection, conservation and compact development, and comprehensive planning.

Four sessions are being held this winter, with others planned for early spring. Each of the sessions is being led by Kirby Date, AICP, and Ohio EPA storm water staff will be on hand to answer questions about Phase II. Take-home materials will include: Model Zoning Ordinances, Best Practices Guides, and implementation guidance. You will also learn how you can apply for free one-on-one technical assistance in the spring.

An RSVP is required at least one week before the session you plan to attend, and can be made by phone or email.
