The Lake Superior Conservancy
and Watershed Council (LSCWC) is an international organization
dedicated to ensuring the long-term sustainable health of Lake
Superior and its watershed through basin-wide communication,
education, scientific study, preservation and conservation of Lake
Superior and its ecosystems. LSCWC works in collaboration with basin
partners, regional and national environmental organizations to
protect and preserve the natural legacy of Lake Superior now, and
for future generation.

National Ocean Sciences Bowl
(NOSB) www.nosb.org
The annual NOSB competitions
provide an educational forum for high school students to excel in
math and science and receive national recognition for their
diligence and talents. Great Lakes
competitions will be held in Ann Arbor, Mich., and Stony Brook,
N.Y. (Feb. 10); and in Milwaukee, Wis., and Pittsburgh, Pa. (Feb.
24). The competitions are open to the public.

The National Water Information
System (NWIS) is a comprehensive and distributed application that
supports the acquisition, processing, and long-term storage of water
data. NWISWeb serves as the publicly available portal to a
geographically seamless set of much of the water data maintained
within NWIS.
