Dear Great Lakes citizen,
Taking place today is the last of this week's three repeating calls to
update people on the Canada-U.S. review of the Great Lakes Water Quality
Agreement.
The call is being held:

The call is intended to last an hour and fifteen minutes, but
could go up to an hour and a half if people have a lot to say about their
plans for next steps in the review.
The call agenda is:
--Summary of the official Canada-U.S. review process (10
minutes)
--Very brief summaries of the draft reports finalized in December by the
nine official "Review Working Groups" (25 minutes)
--Brief summary of the draft report of the "Governance and
Institutions" Review Working Group, finalized last month (5
minutes)
--Summary of "Promises to Keep," a recent report on changes
needed to the agreement by four basin environmental groups (5
minutes)
--Summary of last year's recommendations by the U.S.-Canada International
Joint Commission, the official agreement watchdog ( 5 minutes)
--What Great Lakes United is planning to do related to the agreement (5
minutes)
--What call participants are planning to do related to the agreement (15
minutes)
