About the
Conference The Great
Lakes Regional Data Exchange 2007 conference
will be held on October 29, 2007 at the Westin Hotel in The conference will include
keynote speakers addressing the latest advancements in current regional and
global observing systems and related technologies. It will also include
breakout sessions with contributed paper covering a wide range of case studies
and current activities and hands-on workshops showcasing and assisting
participants in using the latest technologies for sharing their data through
Web Services. The conference is ideally
placed at the beginning of a week of exciting events in Present at
RDX! The Great Lakes Regional Data Exchange 2007
Conference will provide a variety of opportunities for
participants to present their recent work to their peers. Presentations are
being sought on the following topics: Ecological Monitoring and Reporting Data Clearinghouses Online Geospatial Communities Land Use Transformations In addition, presentations are welcome in
other areas relating to interjurisdicitonal data exchange and use of
information technologies for addressing Presentation abstracts should be submitted
no later than April 6th by email to rdx@glc.org.
Those submitting presentation will be notified by April 11 of their acceptance
and placement in the conference program. Presentations can also be
made at the ASPRS
and CRSS 2007 Specialty Conference. Abstract are due March 9th
and can be submitted through the conference website. Registration Registration for this one-day event is
available as a special option via the CRSS/ASPRS Specialty Conference
website. Rates for early registrants (before Sept.
28, 2007) are: RDX alone: $145 RDX in addition to CRSS/ASPRS registration: $105 Accommodations The conference will take
place at the Westin
Ottawa, near the Ottawa Congress Centre and the Rideau Centre. A discounted
group block will be made available for conference attendees who preregister.
