The Council of State Governments has assisted state leaders in

nonpartisan association, CSG is committed to promoting excellence in
all three branches of state government. The CSG Midwestern Office
supports the efforts of several regional groups of state officials,
including the Midwestern Legislative Conference, the Midwestern
Governors Association and the Great Lakes Legislative Caucus, which
is committed to strengthening the role of state and provincial
legislators in the Great Lakes-related policymaking process while
promoting the restoration and protection of the Great Lakes.
