|Superior Watershed Partnership
Watershed Partnership (SWP) is a regional Great Lakes non-profit
serving the Upper Peninsula of Michigan; "Helping people protect
Lake Superior, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron watershed by watershed".
The SWP has received state, national and international awards for
Great Lakes pollution prevention and innovative approaches to public
education. The SWP is also a regional leader in watershed planning,
habitat protection and Great Lakes research. The SWP staff takes
pride in implementing projects that provide measurable environmental
benefits to the Great Lakes ecosystem while promoting Great Lakes
stewardship and working to improve Great Lakes policy.
This website will
tell you if your Minnesota lake is safe and suitable for swimming
and other recreation. It will also tell you if the fish in your lake
have been tested for mercury, the primary concern with eating fish
from Minnesota lakes.
Great Lakes Maritime Research
The Great Lakes Maritime Research Institute is dedicated to
developing and improving economically and environmentally
sustainable maritime commerce on the Great Lakes through applied
Ontario Green Belt
Escarpment - a World Biosphere Reserve - the Oak Ridges Moraine and
Rouge Park are all part of this permanently protected landscape in
Ontario and play host to hundreds of animals and plant species.
Lakes Regional Water Program|
The Great Lakes Regional
Water Program addresses water quality research, education, and
outreach/extension efforts common to the six states in USEPA Region
5: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
