This workshop will review how cleanup efforts in Michigan's 14 Great Lakes Areas of Concern are generating economic benefits for local communities. The workshop will provide an overview of methodologies and strategies for assessing and communicating about economic benefits from river restoration efforts, as well as case studies of how local communities are benefitting from cleanup work.
The workshop is open to all interested parties. It is intended for members of local public advisory councils, elected officials, economic development and environmental organizations, and others interested in showcasing how progress in restoring Michigan's rivers is advancing economic development and providing other benefits to impacted communities.
