GLIN==> FW: May Coal Shipments on Great Lakes



Coal shipments on the Great Lakes totaled 4.4 million net tons in May, an increase of 4 percent compared to a year ago.  However, the dredging crisis again significantly limited individual cargos.  Many vessels left port only about 90 percent full.  See attached for more details.

 

Also attached is the tabular report for April coal shipments.  Given that the data was received so late, there will be no narrative for April other than to say shipments were down slightly.
