Register online to join Governor Granholm (D-MI) and other policymakers, utilities, regulators, agency representatives, wind and transmission developers, renewable energy advocates, environmental groups, and others in discussing actions needed to implement transmission elements of the Midwestern Governors’ Energy Security and Climate Stewardship Platform for the Midwest.  Participants will also explore the contributions that Midwestern wind power can make towards achieving 20% wind power in the region and nationwide, as well as steps needed to achieve this potential.


The meeting is sponsored by Midwestern Governors Association, in conjunction with the National Wind Coordinating Collaborative, CapX2020, and a wide range of stakeholders: Western Area Power Administration, Wind on the Wires, Iberdrola Renewables, American Wind Energy Association, AEP, Indiana Michigan Power, ITC, Varnum Riddering Schmidt Howlett, NextEnergy, National Conference of State Legislatures, Great Lakes Wind Collaborative, National Association of State Energy Officials, and Otter Tail.
