MSU Workshop Announcement
Please Save The Date!
Pharmaceuticals in the Environment: Current Trends and Research Priorities
The purpose of this workshop is to consider the natural, physical, social,
and behavioral dimensions regarding the fate and impact of pharmaceutical
products in the natural environment, and to identify research priorities.
Thursday, November 20, 2008, 1:00 to 6:00 pm
and
Friday, November 21, 2008, 8:30 am to 12:30pm
It will be held at Michigan State University (Spartan Club, Stadium Tower)
The workshop will include three keynote presentations by invited speakers:
Bent Halling-Sorensen, Professor, Danish University of Pharmaceutical
Science, Institute of Pharmaceutics and Analytical Chemistry, Copenhagen
Shane A. Snyder, Research and Development Manager, Southern Nevada Water
Authority
Frederic Bouder, Research Associate, King's College London, King's Centre
for Risk Management.
Reaction panels will be assembled to respond to each keynote presenter.
Researchers based at MSU, and elsewhere in Michigan will also discuss
ongoing work in the state.
