GLIN==> October Iron Ore Shipments on Lakes Dip

Iron ore shipments on the Great Lakes fell slightly in October compared to a year ago.  The trade totaled 5.7 million net tons.  Canadian Seaway ports were the first to feel the impacts of the dramatic slowdown in steel production, falling some 32 percent.  While U.S. ports in total actually registered an increase compared to a year ago, it is reported that their loadings started to react in the last week of October.  See attached for more details.
