Site of the Month: Great Lakes Observing System (GLOS)
glos.us or glos.ca

GLIN's January Site of the Month is the Great Lakes Observing System. GLOS bridges the gap between Great Lakes problem solvers and information providers by offering public access to integrated, quality controlled data about the Great Lakes, St. Lawrence River and interconnecting waterways and developing products to meet user needs. GLOS is a membership-based, nonprofit organization and is the only freshwater component of the U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS). Recently, GLOS launched a redesigned website with much improved access to Great Lakes data via four new map viewers, as well as a new e-newsletter, Lake Views.
