GLIN==> Stone Trade Plunged to Depression Level in December

The Lakes limestone trade totaled only 530,000 net tons in December.  When the economy is strong, one large quarry will ship that much stone in two weeks.  The new Congress and new Administration must jump start the economy with “shovel-ready” projects such as the second Poe-sized lock.  Twinning the Poe Lock will require more than 1.1 million tons of stone.   See attached for more details.

And as a preview, the December iron ore report will be just about as gloomy.
