Water Resource Professional, We are
currently looking for presenters for the 2nd annual Lake St. Clair Water Festival that
will be held
at water
festival is a free program designed to educate fourth and fifth grade students,
along with their
teachers and parent chaperones, about the important role water plays in their
daily lives and to
identify the impact they have on water quality. Topics to be explored include,
but are not limited
to, water quality, environmental impacts/land usage, stewardship and natural
resources. Each
class is invited to attend one half-day session: 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. or 12:00
p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Each session lasts 20 minutes. The Water Festival will target over 1,000 fourth
and fifth grade
students within the Lake St. Clair Watershed. We hope that you can assist with
this exciting
opportunity to provide an educational and enjoyable learning experience for our
local fourth
and fifth grade students. All
presenters will receive a free Water Festival tee shirt and a box lunch for
volunteering their time
and expertise at the Lake St. Clair Water Festival. For your convenience,
registration is available
on-line at http://waterfestival.weebly.com/. Depending on your availability, please register
to present for a morning, afternoon or all-day session. We ask that presenters
arrive one-hour
early to enjoy a complimentary breakfast or lunch and to set up for your
presentations. Please
