(NWF), the nation’s largest member-supported conservation

reconnecting our children with nature, and protecting America’s
wildlife and habitat.
We seek a Regional Campaign Manager in our Ann Arbor, Michigan office
to act as part of NWF’s initiative to protect wildlife from global
warming. This position is responsible for designing, managing and
implementing Great Lakes regional programs to protect wildlife from
climate change. Areas of coverage will include Great Lakes adaptation to
climate change, regional impacts of climate change on wildlife,
incorporation of climate change into agency conservation programs, and
helping to assess and design global warming solutions polices to
maximize benefits for wildlife in the region.
Specifically, this position will: develop and advocate for state and
regional policy and science; coordinate and lead our partners throughout
the region; and conduct fundraising efforts to support Great Lakes
adaptation to climate change.
Education & Experience: Must have B.S. or B.A. in environmental policy,
natural resource management or related field to be considered (advanced
degree preferable). 5 years experience is required in developing policy
and implementing advocacy campaigns. Familiarity and good reputation
with Great Lakes conservation community is preferred. Great Lakes
policy expertise preferred. Knowledge of climate change impacts on
wildlife in the region preferred. Demonstrated fundraising experience a
plus.
Required Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills to coordinate and at
times lead a coalition of strong and experienced environmental leaders
and conduct advocacy in a variety of policy venues. Strong strategic
planning skills, program implementation skills, and ability drive a
project forward through organizational and political barriers. Strong
computer skills, including MS Office, are required.
