RE: State Energy Efficiency Initiatives
Jeneane,
Check out Texas' State Energy Conservation Office website at http://www.seco.cpa.state.tx.us/
Incentives & grants are part of the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan. check out TNRCC website at http://home.tnrcc.state.tx.us/oprd/sips/terp.html
Hope this helps.

For "...(a) source of information on state, local, utility, and selected
federal incentives that promote renewable energy" a good place to start is
the State Incentives for Renewable Energy database at
http://www.dsireusa.org.
As for "green" building in the residential sector, check NAHB's ToolBase
Services at http://www.toolbase.org - go to "green building" and "local
programs".
Our P2Rx topic hub on resource efficient residential contruction can provide
other helpful links -
http://peakstoprairies.org/topichub/toc.cfm?hub=31&subsec=7&nav=7 look
especially in the "Affordability" section; some of the "key links" may be
particularly useful.

Subject: State Energy Efficiency Initiatives
I received a request from Jeneane Harter, jeneane@hitechcommunications.com,
regarding state legislation and programs for green and energy efficient
buildings. She is also interested in other legislation, loan programs, etc
that support/promote energy efficiency for business and government
operations that she might be able to use to help develop energy efficiency
initiatives in Nevada. She is not a subscriber to the list-serve so please
respond to her directly in addition to the listserv. Thanks for your help
and my apologies for cross-posting.
