NPPR Fall conference reminder

Just a reminder that the early registration date for NPPR's fall conference
is coming up September 6.  The meeting is October 15-18 and is taking place
at the Grand Canyon Village in Arizona.  Conference details and
registration forms are available online at www.p2.org/events.

The meeting is being co-sponsored by the Grand Canyon National Park, Grand
Canyon Park Lodges
Horace Albright Training Center,  Intermountain Region of the National Park
Service and NPPR . 
 
Some highlights of this conference include: 
* Meeting of NPPR's Evironmental Security and P2 task Force;
* Discussing NPPR's newly relased draft paper on sustainability as a follow
up to the Johannesburg summit;
* Holding a special National Park Service (NPS) plenary outlining NPS'
innovative environmental initiatives in the region throughout the park
system;
*Presenting Southwest Regional environmental initiatives and issues;
* Focusing on EMS P2  tools and practices;
* Participating  in a P2 EMS of the National Park Service facilities in the
Canyon; and
* Organizing an expanded Environmentally Preferable Products (EPP)
discussion group meeting.
