Re: EPA's Resource Conservation Challenge
P2'ers:
A short cut to the Waste Minimization Partnership Program, a key portion
of the Recovery Initiative, is located at http://www.epa.gov/wastemin.
We are looking for EPA Regions and States who want to set up
partnerships for this program. If any of you are interested, pls let us
know! This could be a way to piggyback existing Governor's awards, or
to create an award program where none exists.
One way to locate potential partners is to look at the "wasteMINsight"
feature on the website. The "wasteMINsight" data retrieval tool
identifies companies that have reported any of 30 priority chemicals in
their RCRA wastes to TRI. There are about 2000 such companies. Maybe
they would like to get some recognition for reducing some of these
chemicals.
Get in touch with Newman Smith (smith.newman@epa.gov, 703-308-8757),
or me (703-308-8463).
