Talked with an electronics manufacturer who uses similar reels, he
reports:
1) They used to directly recycle customer waste reels until too
many un-reusable reels became a problem. (I assume that's why the
supplier does not want them.)
2) They deal with a company named Taylor Reel. No additional
information could be obtained as to location, but if you can find
them you may get a line on reuse.
3) A recycler named Cougle Recycling, in Reading PA, will accept
light colored/clear polystyrene reels. Given # 610-562-8336.
