Regarding the cooling towers question:

In preparing information on PA companies attending a green technologies trade 
meeting, I thought I should mention that there is a company on my list that 
specializes in nonchemical water treatment to prevent scaling among other
things 
in water.  I do not know much about them other than the contact...and by this 
referral am not endorsing their product.   The company is called:
