Journal of Cleaner Production - Call for Papers

Dear Cleaner Production/Pollution Prevention Colleagues:
This call for papers is an announcement for a summer/fall 1999
international Journal of Cleaner Production Special Edition on
Education, Training and Learning for Cleaner Production. The primary
focus of this edition will be the promotion of learning in its broadest
definition, as applied to cleaner production. We are interested in
articles that address, but are not limited to the following general
areas:
ACADEMIC LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS - ALL DISCIPLINES
-curricula addressing cleaner production, at all levels
including vocational
-promoting change in university curricula, (new courses,
course modification)
-changes in university curricula/requirements
-use of new technologies to facilitate CP learning, such as
distance learning, CD-Rom, etc.
-new graduate and undergraduate programs in cleaner production
PRACTITIONER LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS
-continuing education for professionals in engineering and business
-non-academic learning environments such as companies and authorities
-promotion of CP in learning organizations
-developing learning organizations
-learning by implementing CP changes in organizations
LEARNING IN THE GENERAL PUBLIC
-non-traditional learning environments such as museums
-building learning communities to support CP
-community-based CP actives as a learning tool
RESEARCH INTO THE THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF CLEANER PRODUCTION
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
-evaluation of effectiveness of academic and practitioner
learning programs
-interdisciplinary aspects of CP education/training, ie.
theory, application to education and implementation
We are also looking for articles that address learning relationships
such as:
- learning organizations and EMS
- learning organizations and organizational (ie environmental) change
- learning from "failures/mistakes"
- new partnerships in learning
- learning organizations and affecting environmental change
- technology-based delivery and learning for cleaner production
The Journal is soliciting academic articles as well as application
articles, that is articles that describe actual field learning
experiences in cleaner production.
