Hi Kirsten,

What type of metalworking fluid are they using in the forming process?  It 
might tell you why you are having trouble with the acrylic but not the 
urethane/acrylic.

What type of forming process is it and how severe are the operating 
conditions in terms of feedrates, temperatures, etc.  If the forming 
conditions are not severe, like  in manual-feed stamping, they may be able to 
eliminate the use of the metalworking fluid as long as the tool bit is kept 
clean and within tight tolerances.  

If fluids are still needed, try talking with the metalworking fluid vendor to 
see if they can offer any alternative metalworking fluids.
