RE: Groundwater and Ammonia

Donald,
Try our friends in the Florida DEP water division at:

http://www.dep.state.fl.us/water/
They have a section on groundwater and water quality and will provide
contact info I'm sure.
Their webpage is really well done.

Subject: Groundwater and Ammonia

02/16/00

I am researching the Floridan Aquifer as an alternative underground source
of drinking water (USDW) for south Florida.

Does anyone know (or can suggest a contact) if ammonia is a naturally
occuring nutrient background parameter for the Floridan Aquifer and if not
what does the presence of ammonia in groundwater indicate?

Best Wishes,
