nifty email cleanup program

This is a nifty free utility for listserv addicts like myself who save and
use emails - it cleans up all the >>> and ** characters that accumulate in
messages that have been forwarded, so you can copy email text into documents
and not spend hours deleting the unwanted characters. The org that sent the
message is a great NGO that is worth checking out too. Pass this on to
others who spend way too much time on their PCs!

"If you're like most activists you've been frustrated by the challenge of
working with text from email messages that's filled with lots of
line breaks and ">" forwarding characters. Fortunately, there are several
utilities that can help you clean up these "messy" messages!

For Windows, the best thing we've found is "eCleaner." A free program, it
be found at:
eCleaner also has a plug-in available for Outlook 2000 that will allow to
clean-up email messages from within Outlook 2000.

A similar program for the Macintosh is called "Magic Bullets," and it can be
found at http://hotfiles.zdnet.com/cgi-bin/texis/swlib/hotfiles/
