Waste Reduction and Energy Efficiency Workshop

GREAT LAKES REGION EIGHTH ANNUAL WASTE REDUCTION & ENERGY EFFICIENCY WORKSHOP
Burton Manor, Livonia, Michigan
November 9, 2000

The Environmental Assistance Division announces the Great Lakes Region Eighth Annual Waste Reduction and Energy Efficiency Workshop, being held Thursday, November 9, 2000, at the Burton Manor in Livonia, Michigan.

Twenty-eight organizations together developed this workshop, designed for manufacturers, automobile suppliers, small and medium sized businesses, community and local organizations, and government.  The daylong workshop includes five concurrent tracks of presentations and case studies, communicating methods of increasing productivity and reducing costs, risks, and liabilities.  The tracks are automotive, manufacturing, environmental management systems, energy efficiency, and resources.  The event includes a resource area with exhibits and pollution prevention assistance from trade associations, utilities, educational institutions, government, and nonprofits.  Over 2,500 have attended the previous workshops.  Last year's event attracted 458 attendees.
