Here are two EMS workshops that may be of interest. They are being
sponsored by the NC Division of Pollution Prevention and Environmental

Monday, December 18, 2000 - Developing an EMS Approach to Agriculture
and Agribusiness: Technical experts will focus
on development and implementation of EMS and waste management programs
specific to the agriculture industry. It will discuss
benefits of an EMS, including improved efficiency and environmental
awareness, better understanding of compliance issues,
enhanced trade, and greater consistency. Workshop fee is $39.
Location: Raleigh, NC.
Wednesday, January 31, 2001 - Strategies for Governmental EMS Workshop:
This half-day workshop will describe the basics
of an EMS. Local governments who have adopted an EMS will share benefits
including improved employee awareness, increased
operation efficiencies, better environmental performance, and greater
understanding of compliance responsibilities. There is no
charge for this workshop. Location: Gastonia, NC.
