Seattle workshop on P2 for Cities



Great News!  A truly international and highly qualified group has already
registered for the The International Workshop on Pollution Prevention for
Sustainable Cities, held in Seattle, Washington at the Mayflower Hotel from
May 9 through Saturday May 12. This workshop will teach mayors, city
managers and planners how to reduce pollution in cities by using very
cost-effective, community-based strategies that can be duplicated in most
cities around the world.  Speakers and participants will share their lessons
learned, advice for others, and recommended resources and possible
partnerships.

The participants list includes outstanding leaders who have many great
strategies from their own cities to share.  Here is the list as of 4/16:

Philippine cities sending senior representatives:  Dagupan, Ormoc, San
Fernando, Naga City, Antipolo, La Carlota, Island Garden City of Samal,
Iloilo, Legaspi, Mandaue, Batangas

Indian cities sending senior representatives:  Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur
(tentative)

Experts from North American cities:  New Orleans, Lowell, Federal Way,
Portland, Seattle, Vancouver

Other city representatives are expected from from Hanoi, Bogota, Columbo,
Mexico
City, Guanajuato (Mexico) and Gulariya (Nepal)
