The National Pollution Prevention Roundtable (NPPR) is seeking one Project
Manager/Conference Coordinator for a full-time position. NPPR is the
largest membership organization in the U.S. dedicated solely to promoting
pollution prevention (reduction of waste at the source). NPPR provides a
national forum for promoting the development, implementation, and
evaluation of efforts to avoid, eliminate, or reduce pollution at the
source. NPPR's membership comprises representatives from the federal,
state, local and tribal government sectors, university based pollution
prevention programs, non-government organizations, and private industry.
The Project Manager will assist in organizing NPPR's two annual
conferences, seminars, Roundtable legislative briefings and focus sessions.
Additionally, the Project Manager will be responsible for editing NPPR's
quarterly newsletter, aiding in general member support, writing grant
proposals and project reports, handling promotional activities for National
Pollution Prevention Week, and supporting the Executive Director. Some
travel will be required. Good writing and research skills are necessary.
Environmental experience and/or knowledge is preferred. The applicant must
possess a bachelor's degree; master's degree a plus. Salary commensurate
with experience and includes full medical insurance.
