RE: environmental metrics for printers

One of the best sources for metrics in the printing industry is the EPA
Sector Notebook entitled "Printing Industry". You can access it from our web
site. After pulling up the P2Infohouse database, use the FIND command to
locate printing.

Subject: environmental metrics for printers

I'm interested in finding out more about the kinds of environmental
measurements or "metrics" printers track regularly, and why. Which
measures are most useful for printers, and in what ways? Would you like to
monitor any others but find it difficult for some reason?

There has been a lot of discussion on this listserv and other places about
P2 metrics in general, so I'm interested particularly in the ways that
metrics might need to be different for printers and might deal with issues
in addition to pollution prevention (such as waste created during printing
