mercury questions

HI P2tech,

This is from a colleague. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Janet Clark
.............................
The Lowell Center for Sustainable Production (LCSP) recently started a
mercury reduction project with the Maine DEP to accomplish the following:
- establish a comprehensive list of products containing mercury
- determine whether viable non-mercury alternatives exist for these
products
- develop a strategy to reduce the mercury content of products

We are seeking information sources for the following:
1) Results of testing and evaluating the performance of non-mercury product
alternatives
2) Results and experiences of organizations that have attempted to reduce
the production and sale of products containing mercury. This can include
various policy instruments such as regulation, education, market
incentives, etc.

You can respond to this message or contact the following project team
members directly:
Greg Morose: Gregory_Morose@uml.edu (phone 978-934-2954)
Jim Giordani: Jim_Giordani@hotmail.com
Catherine Galligan: shp@uml.edu (phone 978-934-3386)
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
