Re: laboratory top ten, CO2 emissions/mile?

For environmental violations at laboratories, you could try calling the
Lab XL project, which is/was directed to improving the environmental
compliance of university laboratories http://esf.uvm.edu/c2e2/labxl/
The only contact information that is readily provided (see below) is
given under the related Campus Consortium for Environmental Excellence
(C2E2), which is a group of colleges and universities interested in
developing new ways of managing and regulating the environmental impacts
of their laboratories http://esf.uvm.edu/c2e2/

General technical information about C2E2 activities can be found at the
Lab-XL web site at http://www.c2e2.org/labxl For more information about
the organization, or if you have specific questions, contact Thomas Balf
at Nexus Environmental Partners. at (617) 951-1181 or by e-mail at

Dear P2techers,
A couple of questions:
1) CAn anyone verify or back up a statement that: " there is one pound
per
mile of CO2 emissions from an average light duty gasoline-powered
vehicle"?
I read this in an EPA report by the National Vehicle and Fuel
Emissions
Laboratory, but it seems awfully high and I'm wondering if I'm
misunderstanding something.
and
2) Has anyone identified the top ten environmental violations in
laboratories?
Or, have a poster or similar item to that effect they can share? KSU is

looking
for a brief listing to post in labs on campus to help them understand
their
most basic requirements for environmental compliance.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
