laboratory top ten, CO2 emissions/mile?

According to the website http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/index.htm , a
Ford Ranger pick-up (not a full size), 4 cylinder, 2 wheel drive, manual
transmission, would have 7.5 tons or 15,000 pounds of Green House Gases
(CO2 equivalents) for 15,000 miles of driving. In this case, most of the
Green House Gases are CO2.

Emissions go up for larger engines (6 cylinder) and automatic
transmissions. So the pound per mile number looks pretty good and
actually may be a little low.
