Re: P2 options for Waste water, spent causti and sludges

For your cooling tower question, you could try the Cooling Tower
Institute http://www.cti.org/ which has an "ask the expert" technical
assistance service.

Dear P2Techers

I would appreciate from any of you suggestions and recommend readings
and web sites about the following items for petroleum refineries:

-	Spent Caustic reusing: is it feasible a cascade caustic reuse?
Let s say from Merox Units to otehr units, etc and so on
-	Waste water reuse:
o	As far as I know putting waste water in the apropiate point of
the treatment line can improve waste water treatment plants enabbling
more troughput for other unit operations of the WWT plant. Any ideas
about it?
o	What about reusing from one unit to another? Is it possible to
use waste water form sour water stripper to desalters or to cooling
waster tower?
o	For cooling water, is there any rule of thumb to know how much
treated water can be recycled to cooling water circuit?

-	Sludge: waht are the most feasible (and economical if possible)
P2 options?

Thank you for your help

Best regards

Jose Luis Martinez
