Most Valuable P2 (MVP2) Awards



The MVP2 Award applications are due soon!  I hope you are busy preparing 
your applications, and planning on submitting by the July 1 due date.  You 
can get to the applications by going to www.p2.org/p2week.

Remember awards can be given in the following categories:
o  MVP2 program/projects
o  MVP2 writing
o  P2 Volunteer of the Year

Eligible projects will meet the following criteria:
o  innovative
o  measurable results
o  transferability
o  commitment
o  optimization of available resources

2002 Award Winner Summary
If you were able to attend the Louisville Spring conference you may have 
attended the session where one of last year's award winners presented--The 
Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary System, a neat project designed to educate 
people about environmental stewardship and motivate them to take action in 
their daily lives that will enhance and protect wildlife and their 
habitats, and conserve and protect natural resources.  Programs exist for 
homeowners, businesses, schools, cemeteries, and golf courses tailored to 
the unique setting and needs of different properties, in 6 key 
environmental areas:
o  environmental planning
o  wildlife habitat management
o  chemical use, reduction and safety
o  water conservation
o  water quality management
o  outreach and education
