Re: Paperless hospital?

I have been consulting with a 300 bed community hospital that is building a
new facility to be "green" from the ground up. The "paperless wireless"
option for that facility costs about $2 million, and faces significant staff
resistance, but will definitely be implemented (in stages). It pays, not
just in reduced paper use, but in improved use of staff time and reduced
medical errors. Two links that might be of interest:

Might be biased by being just a heart hospital, especially in terms of
staff acceptance, but I got some good info from them about reduced costs,
improved performance, and reduced environmental effects.
