RE: Tax exemption for environmental equipment

Tammy,

Information below addresses the issue in PA...perhaps you can work backward to the source. Sorry I am unable to provide more direct assistance. Ric

Hi Ric,

I am not sure if the following has changed or not, but it is the latest that I have concerning the approval process for the "Tax Benefits For Pollution Control Devices". The process is as follows:

1.	The applicant submits two completed applications to the appropriate DEP Regional Office (either the Bureau of Air Quality for air pollution control devices or the Bureau of Water Quality Management for water pollution control devices).

2.	The DEP Regional Office approves/declines the application.

3.	The DEP Regional Office notifies the applicant of their decision. If approved, a certificate is issued to the applicant.

4.	DEP does not notify the Department of Revenue or any other state agency.

5.	If approved, the applicant includes the certificate requesting the tax credit when they file their tax return.

The application is on the DEP website and can be found at the following website:

		http://www.dep.state.pa.us/dep/deputate/watermgt/wqp/forms/wq0021.doc

I am not sure if the application can/cannot be submitted electronically at this time.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Thanks,
Gene D.

Does anyone know of a federal or even State of Florida tax exemption for
environmental equipment purchase and where I can find supporting
statutes saying such? I have a business inquiring...

Thank you to all !
