MVP2 Awards--Get the recognition you deserve!

Last year the Iowa Department of Natural Resources received a 2003 Most
Valuable P2 Award for its student intern program. This 12 week summer
program places college graduate and upper level undergraduate in companies
to assist in identifying, evaluating, and implementing environmental
solutions. The program has grown from 14 company partnerships to 22 in
two years. Companies involved in the first two years saved over $3
million, with projected savings approaching $50 million over the next five
years.

Don't miss this chance to have your program recognized! Applications are
due May 17! Go to www.p2.org/p2week/awards.cfm to get the application and
background information. In addition to P2 projects like the one mentioned
above, awards will be given for Best Writing and Volunteer of the Year.
Awards are available for the following organizational categories: local
government, state government, federal government, tribal, not for profit,
and private industry.

Awards will recognize continuing dedication to pollution prevention and
will be judged using the following criteria: innovation in P2, measurable
P2 results, transferrability to other P2 projects or programs, commitment
to P2, and optimization of available P2 project resources.

You can mail or fax your application and $35 application fee to the
