Seeking Emissions Data/Emissions Reduction Information on Investment Casting Operations



Hello P2ers,

I hope this message finds you well.

We are developing an EMS for an investment caster who casts primarily
types 17.4 and 3.16 stainless steel, but also a high cobalt and high
nickel alloy. Currently, they estimate their metals emissions based on
grey iron foundry data.

Do you have leads on where to get emissions data specific to investment
casting operations, especially these types of stainless steel and/or
high cobalt/high nickel alloys?

Do you have cost and performance data, or any leads on specific
pollution prevention or end-of-pipe control measures that can reduce
their metals emissions (especially nickel and cobalt) from these or
similar metal casting operations?

P.S. Their cobalt and nickel emissions rank them high on EPA's Risk
Screening Environmental Indicators (RSEI) model as compared to other air
emissions in their city. Others may have similar situations. For info.
